Scruffles the cat is adored by his owner, his fellow cat friends, but most of all by a seriously dedicated group of … chickens. It doesn’t seem to matter much what Scruffles is doing — eating, sleeping, lounging, and sleeping some more — whatever Scruffles does, his fowl-feathered friends approve.
This extra large cat is completely comfortable having his life dominated by chickens. He loves to put on a show for them as they crowd around the sliding glass window for a good seat.

He also operates as a very fluffy pillow for those chicks and hens who need some cushiony comfort when taking a nap.

The members of Scruffles’ chicken fan club also enjoy posing with him for cosplay and costumed photo shoots, although they appear to enjoy it more than Scruffles does!

We may never know why these chickens love Scruffles so much, but we can certainly guess that his personality has something to do with it. Apparently, he loves the chickens’ company and views them as friends to play with and snuggle with.

Paws and claws up for Scruffles and his merry band of roving chickens. Their unique friendship has resulted in an Instagram account full of adorable pictures, and a reminder that sometimes the most valuable of friendships come from the least likely places.
