Hundreds of people came to clean up the previously polluted river.
Artem Prikhodko, a 31-year-old ranger from Kharkov, Ukraine, has organized hundreds of people to help clear the muddy Uda River.
More than four hundred volunteers, 70 people in total, took part in 15 shifts on Saturday.
The river contained all sorts of litter and items that had been tossed away into the water which were killing off the living organisms and creatures beneath the surface.
